Partners

We believe in the power of collaboration and learning from one another

Along with our partners, every day, we work together passionately to grow the tastiest strawberries in the most sustainable way, while paving the way for the future of strawberry cultivation. We don’t only collaborate with our partners, but also work with educational institutions, such as the HAS university of applied sciences and the WUR (Wageningen University & Research). We are a member of several professional organisations, such as the LLTB (The Limburg Agricultural and Horticultural Union), Glastuinbouw Nederland (Greenhouse horticulture in the Netherlands) and Platform Tuinbouwresten (Platform Byproducts from Horticulture). We also regularly participate in trials and research initiatives organised by our suppliers.

Our partners:

  • Fragaria Innova

In 2018-2019, a group of ambitious strawberry growers joined forces to form Fragaria Innova. Their mission is to collectively address key challenges in areas such as employment, scalability, efficiency, plant health and resilience, biodiversity, growing media, produce quality, continuity, supply reliability and smart farming. Innovation is key to tackling these issues, while strengthening the competitive position of the affiliated companies. A crucial principal is that all product and process innovations must be economically viable for implementation directly “on the farm”. In the years ahead, Fragaria Innova will focus on the areas of ‘growing under light’ and ‘plant health’ in order to develop sustainable and innovative solutions.

  • Fossa Eugenia

Brookberries is a member of the growers’ association Fossa Eugenia, which handles the sales of our strawberries. Fossa Eugenia is a group of growers from the Euroregion of Venlo, which together with its growers and chain partners, offers an extensive range of sustainable, fresh, safe and healthy fresh produce every day, using short supply chains. Fossa Eugenia cultivates in a market-oriented, innovative way, responding to requirements regarding sustainability, food safety and quality. A formula that appeals to both customers and growers.
