Year-round fresh strawberries through innovation and craftsmanship
With passion and precision, every year we grow around 3.5 million kilograms of strawberries in greenhouses, over a total area of 30 hectares at five sites in the municipality of Venlo. By planting plants multiple times a year and using ever-bearing varieties that produce continuously for 5-6 months, as well as through double cropping that peaks twice a year, we guarantee fresh, high-quality strawberries throughout the year. The controlled environment in our greenhouses enhances efficiency.
The main varieties we work with are Elsanta, Sonsation, Opera, Favori, Sonata and Fandango. We also test new varieties and technologies, often in collaboration with partners, to make our cultivation practices even more sustainable and innovative. Our bees and bumblebees play a crucial role in natural pollination, requiring a fully sustainable approach. Using eco-friendly and, whenever possible, organic plant protection products, we protect our own plants and strawberries, whilst being mindful of the nature around us.
