In 2007, Dings Aardbeien set up part of the company as Airco Greenhouse (8400 m2). By adding a number of new techniques (mechanical cooling, a high pressure fog system and vertical fans) to the Greenhouse, it is possible to optimise the climate for the production of strawberries.
These technical cultivation improvements led to the development and realisation of Brookberries in 2009. An innovative modern company with the latest technology, in which cost price control is an important point of attention.
In 2009, the Airco Greenhouse, together with WUR Greenhouse horticulture – co-funded by the Product Board for Horticulture and the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality (LNV) – will be further investigated how to grow even more energy-efficient and to further improve the taste of the strawberries

By growing under glass, Dings Aardbeien & Brookberries produces strawberries that are virtually residue-free. Regardless of weather conditions: from early April to late December it is possible to grow perfect strawberries
